Timmy Hamilton has apparently had a change of heart.
Hamilton, a former standout at Wichita-Kapaun Mount Carmel and Coffeyville Community College, is joining the Kansas football program after signing with Arizona last February and beginning fall camp with the Arizona Wildcats in Tucson, Ariz.
Hamilton, a defensive end, left Arizona earlier this month, according to Rivals.com, and announced Tuesday on his Twitter account that he’s headed for KU. Hamilton, who is listed at 6 feet 5 and 265 pounds, will have to sit out the 2015 season. He is expected to be classified as a walk-on upon arrival — the Jayhawks don’t have any available scholarships in their 2015 recruiting class — but he could be awarded a scholarship in the future.
