Oak Park High senior Ochai Agbaji is headed to Kansas.
Flanked by family and coaches and with the student body behind him in bleachers, Agbaji, a 6-5 senior wing, announced his commitment Wednesday afternoon during a ceremony inside the Oak Park High School gym.
“Being able to play for Bill Self, it’s something unreal,” Agbaji said. “I love the school. I love everything about it. I’m just excited to play.”
The decision concludes a whirlwind two weeks of recruitment for Agbaji, who picked up seven basketball scholarship offers from Power 5 schools in the past 13 days after having none when the new year began.
