KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Frank Mason was in no mood for silver linings.
The Kansas basketball senior guard had just experienced his earliest ever exit in the Big 12 Tournament — an 85-82 defeat Thursday at Sprint Center against No. 8 seed TCU — when he was presented with the idea that maybe the quarterfinal defeat was a positive in that it could allow the fatigued Jayhawks (28-4) a chance to get rested before the NCAA Tournament.
Mason, who played all 40 minutes against the Horned Frogs, didn’t concur.
“Not at all,” Mason said. “I think we all feel good.
