The Commission on College Basketball called for sweeping changes in the sport, including working with the NBA to get rid of the “one-and-done” rule and deliver harsher penalties for rule-breakers.
The commission, headed by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, also recommended allowing players to return to college after going undrafted by the NBA and outsourcing enforcement in a 60-page report released Wednesday morning.
"Colllege basketball is too precious, and fate of young men too important not to get it right,' Rice said. "We need to make a start and bold one to turn the ship in the right direction.
