LAWRENCE — Brandon Schneider received the handout from a coaching clinic 18 years ago, diagrams and plays from a fast-rising coach at Tulsa University.
Schneider fell in love with one play — "Two game" — in particular. He ran it for years as women’s basketball coach at Emporia State and later sought out that same coach’s practice DVD, jotting down notes on yellow scratch paper.
Nearly two decades later, it's even easier for Schneider to learn from the man who impacted his career. If he has any more questions about “Two game," he can walk a few steps down the hall and into the office of Bill Self, the former Tulsa coach who become an icon at KU.
