LAWRENCE — Cheick Diallo's legal guardian has hired an attorney to help with the forward's fight to become eligible this season.
Tidiane Drame has chosen Alabama-based attorney Don Jackson as his legal counsel while Diallo continues to try to gain clearance from the NCAA Eligibility Center, Jackson confirmed to the Capital-Journal on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Yahoo! Sports report Tuesday morning from Shams Charania, the NCAA has received 2,000 pages of documents regarding Diallo's coursework at Our Savior New American in Centereach, N.Y. The report also said the NCAA has requested coursework from Diallo as far back as sixth grade.
