LAWRENCE — Carlton Bragg has been suspended from the Kansas men’s basketball team for a violation of team rules, the program announced in a Thursday night news release.
The suspension is indefinite, according to KU coach Bill Self. Bragg will apparently miss the No. 2-ranked Jayhawks’ 5:20 p.m. Saturday game at Kentucky.
The suspension is not related to the ongoing investigation into an alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl Dec. 17 at McCarthy Hall, the men’s basketball team’s residence, Self said in the release.
Bragg, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound sophomore forward, is averaging 6.1 points and 4.
