One week after Kansas fans got the news they were hoping for on Silvio De Sousa's eligibility, they found out about freshman Billy Preston as well. Unfortunately, it's not the news they were hoping for.
Preston will forego his college career and join a professional team in Bosnia. Coach Bill Self said in a press release that Preston's first choice was to stay at Kansas, but that his frustration over eligibility concerns has led him to explore other options.
Preston was involved in a minor single vehicle accident just prior to the regular season. Concerns over the vehicle he was driving, and who might have provided it to him, started a long investigation, first by the University, and then the NCAA.
