KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas coach Bill Self says the biggest change to college basketball this year won’t be the new 30-second shot clock.
Instead, it will be a new emphasis on freedom of movement that should drive up foul totals.
“After our (coaches) meeting today, I’m going, ‘We foul five times every possession,’ based on the way it was explained to us,” Self said at Tuesday's Big 12 Media Day. “I’d say a big concern is just getting our guys to understand the way the game has to be played. Not the way the game should be played.
