KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the Kansas basketball team prepared for a third round of the Sunflower Showdown, Baylor’s Taurean Prince was putting on a show of his own.
KU likely missed most of Prince’s performance live. But one glance at the box score should tell the Jayhawks all they need to know about the BU senior.
Prince had 24 points and 13 rebounds in the Bears’ 75-61 victory over Texas in the tournament’s first game of the day, earning a date with the top-seeded Jayhawks at 6 p.m. Friday in the semifinals. The 6-foot-7 forward also made all eight of his free throws and finished with a team-high four assists.
