LAWRENCE — If Bill Self is worried about his team’s close-shooting woes, he’s not letting it show.
The Kansas coach was asked Thursday how his team could improve its lingering layup issues following a 79-73 loss to Michigan State.
“Through player improvement as much as anything,” Self said. “Just because you don’t shoot free throws well one year doesn’t mean you have to shoot them bad the next year. We can certainly improve in some ways.”
It's clear KU needs to be better than it was Tuesday.
The Jayhawks went 13 for 33 at the rim against MSU, appearing to continue a pattern from 2014-15.
