Andrew Wiggins, two other former Jayhawks put on NBA show at Sprint Center

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City crowd packed into a mostly full Sprint Center Saturday night, ready to take in a preseason contest between the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Heat, designated as the home team, proceeded with all the pre-game pageantry one might expect. The PA announcer quickly sped through the Timberwolves introductions, pausing to allow the lights to dim and music to blare out from the speakers before introducing the home side.

But despite the emphasis placed on the Heat, much of the crowd was there for a different reason. Specifically, they were there for three players from the “road team:” Andrew Wiggins, Cole Aldrich and Brandon Rush.
