The alleged female victim in Kansas basketball player Carlton Bragg’s battery case was released from the Douglas County jail Saturday afternoon.
The alleged victim, who is 19 and is also a KU student, told The Star she was released without charges and did not appear in front of a judge. According to sheriff’s office records, she was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of battery.
The woman was booked into the jail under the same case number as Bragg, according to records. Bragg was charged Friday with misdemeanor battery after the Douglas County District Attorney alleged that he struck the woman, his girlfriend, and pushed her down stairs during an argument early Friday morning in the 1000 block of Emery Road.
