The Red Sox batted around in the second inning, scoring five runs off Yohan Pino that would stand up in a 7-3 Red Sox win over the Royals Friday night. With one out in the first, Pino gave up three straight hits, including a two-run single by Mike Napoli to put Boston on the board. After a walk to Alejandro de Aza, Pino gave up a two-run double to struggling rookie catcher Blake Swihart to double the lead. Mookie Betts would drive in another run to make the score 5-0, a lead the Red Sox could coast on to victory.
