The Dodgers and Red Sox have both been around for well over 100 years, but this will be just the second time they have faced off in the World Series. You probably remember the last time they did - back in 1916. Back then, Woodrow Wilson was President. Hawaii and Alaska weren’t yet states - heck, Arizona and New Mexico had been admitted to the Union only a few years prior. Theodore Roosevelt, Scott Joplin, Buffalo Bill Cody, Annie Oakley, and Alexander Graham Bell were all still alive. And Perry Ellis was just a sophomore at the University of Kansas.
