The Royals unveiled their new vision for a downtown home in the north Crossroads this week full of wonderful renderings and testimonials on the potential benefits to the community. As a big proponent of downtown Kansas City and someone that enjoys downtown baseball in other cities, in many ways this is a dream come true to me. While I have a lot of fond memories at Kauffman Stadium, I have always taken issue with the location and lack of integration with the rest of the city. This proposal could potentially usher in a new era for the Royals and even possibly the city.
