Edinson Volquez, who overcame his sketchy postseason history with two solid performances in the American League Championship Series, was named this afternoon as the Royals starter in Tuesday's Game 1 of the World Series against the New York Mets (7:30 p.m. ET air time on FOX, 8 p.m. game time) at Kauffman Stadium.
Kansas City manager Ned Yost also revealed the rest of his rotation through Game 4 of the Series, with Johnny Cueto, Yordano Ventura and Chris Young scheduled to follow Volquez. All four are right-handers, and will face a stiff test from the Mets' lefty-heavy lineup.
