A slow news day for the boys in blue. The Royals, fresh off their World Series title, prepared for their ceremonial visit to the White House. Meanwhile, Game Six hero Dane Iorg filed for free agency. After 142 games and 392 plate appearances over two seasons in Kansas City, Iorg would ultimately end up playing in San Diego during the 1986 season.
