The Royals are historically bad.
They are on pace to lose 110 games for the first time in club history and have performed at unprecedented levels in June in terms of batting average and runs scored.
But good news is on the way. The Royals have played 80 games, so outfielder Jorge Bonifacio is finally eligible to rejoin the major-league team after serving a suspension for testing positive for the performance-enhancing drug Boldenone.
The decision on whether he joins the 25-man roster or lingers on the 40-man until the Royals feel ready to reintegrate him into their major-league lineup is not yet official.
