It’s not uncommon for a player to drive in half of his team’s runs on a given night — it’s less common to do so when the club scores 14 runs. That’s what Double-A Northwest Arkansas shortstop Taylor Featherston did on Saturday, going 4-for-5, with three homers and seven RBI in the Naturals’ 14–3 win over Amarillo.
Featherston began his night with leadoff solo shot in the second, followed by a three-run blast with none out in the fourth, which kickstarted a seven-run inning for the Naturals. He didn’t have to wait long for his next bomb, hitting a two-run homer in the fifth.
