The last two American League teams to win a World Series square off one more time on Sunday afternoon at Kauffman Stadium. The Astros, who are good, and the Royals, who are not, take the field for a 1:15 pm first pitch.
Today, the Royals called up Omaha’s top infield and outfield prospects. Neither are starting. Ryan Goins, Paulo Orlando, Abraham Almonte, and Alcides freaking Escobar (for the 405th straight time) are all in the starting lineup.
At least they’re calling up young guys. Playing them is another day’s task, I guess.
