Despite struggling to the tune of a career-worst 4.05 ERA in 2016, Joakim Soria’s return to Kansas City catapulted him near the top of several lists in the Royals’ record books.
Soria now ranks third in Royals history with 161 career saves, trailing only Jeff Montgomery (304) and Dan Quisenberry (238). He also ranks third in strikeouts among relievers with 409, trailing Montgomery (720) and Greg Holland (430).
Soria ranks fifth with 368 pitching appearances, behind Montgomery (686), Quisenberry (573), Paul Splittorff (429) and Mark Gubicza (382).
