Stat of the Day: Soler Flare

Related Topics: Haaretz, Jorge Soler

Jorge Soler had the game-winning two-run single in the eighth inning on Friday, leading Kansas City to a 4–2 comeback win. It was his second career go-ahead RBI in the eighth inning or later, the other coming on Tuesday in Boston, a three-run home run in the 13th.

Friday’s game-winning hit extended Soler’s career-high on-base streak to 19 games, in which he’s batting .353/.470/.647 (24-for-68) with 12 extra-base hits and 11 RBI. It’s the longest active streak in the American League and the second-longest streak in the AL this season, trailing only a 21-game streak by Aaron Judge from April 1–26.
