The Royals’ 8–4 win Friday vs. Minnesota was fueled by Salvador Perez’s walk-off grand slam on a 3–2 count in the ninth inning. It was Salvy’s third career walk-off RBI and second walk-off HR (also: Sept. 15, 2012 vs. the Angels).
Last night marked just the sixth walk-off grand slam in the 50-year history of the Royals, and first since Paulo Orlando on July 7, 2015 vs. Tampa Bay (Game 1).
