Stat of the Day: Rookie Returns

Related Topics: Rookie, San Diego

The Royals completed their third sweep of at least two games in Sunday’s 9–1 win vs. Baltimore, and have won three consecutive series for the first time since July 21–30, 2017.

Jorge López earned his first win since Sept. 29, 2015 at San Diego (with Milwaukee) — his Major League debut — 1,069 days ago (15 outings, 4 starts in between). López recorded career highs in innings (7) and strikeouts (9), and became the third straight Royals starter to allow two runs or fewer in at least 7.0 innings, joining Brad Keller (Friday) and Heath Fillmyer (Saturday).
