The Royals snapped a seven-game losing streak in Interleague play in Tuesday’s 3–2 win over Colorado at Kauffman Stadium. The streak was the third-longest Interleague skid in club history and longest since losing 10 straight to National League opponents from June 19, 2004-May 21, 2005.
Kansas City is now 6–9 in Interleague play in 2017.
Scott Alexander recorded his first Major League save (60th appearance) in Tuesday’s win, inheriting a bases-loaded, two-out jam with a 2–0 count on Pat Valaika. Alexander induced a game-ending force out to mark the 13th save in franchise history on two-or-fewer pitches and first since Kelvin Herrera did it on June 18 of this season at the Angels.
