The Royals recorded their eighth walk-off win of the season in Wednesday’s 6–4 win over Colorado on Eric Hosmer’s first career walk-off home run, his eighth career regular season walk-off RBI (last, Aug. 19, 2016 vs. Minnesota). It was the Royals’ second walk-off HR of the season (also, Mike Moustakas on June 6 vs. Houston) and marked their 37th comeback win of 2017 — two more than their total from all of last season — tied with the Angels for most in the American League.
Not counting Hosmer’s walk-off sacrifice fly in Game 1 of the 2015 World Series, his eight walk-off RBI in the regular season since his debut in 2011 trail only four others for most in the Majors during that time: Josh Donaldson and Justin Upton have 10 each, and Freddie Freeman and Albert Pujols have nine each (h/t Elias).
