The Royals hit three home runs in their 6–2 win at Fenway Park on Tuesday. Two of the homers came off the bat of Jorge Soler, who hit his 30th and 31st of the season, becoming the seventh different right-handed batter to hit 30 homers in a season in Royals history. The others include:
- Jermaine Dye (33 HR in 2000)
- Dean Palmer (34 HR in 1998)
- Gary Gaetti (35 HR in 1995)
- Danny Tartabull (31 HR in 1991 and 34 HR in 1987)
- Bo Jackson (32 HR in 1989)
- Steve Balboni (36 HR in 1985)
Soler is now on pace for 44 homers, which would be six more than Mike Moustakas’ club record of 38 set in 2017.
