Stat of the Day: Help from Herrera

Kelvin Herrera posted a 2.75 ERA (22 ER in 72.0 IP) in 2016, his third consecutive season with an ERA of 2.75 or lower.

He’s one of five qualified relievers in the American League to post a 2.75 or lower ERA in each of the last three seasons, joining teammate Wade Davis, Zach Britton, Andrew Miller and Carson Smith.

In fact, the Royals lead the Majors in bullpen ERA since 2014 (3.14), ahead of Pittsburgh (3.15), Cleveland (3.20), Baltimore (3.23) and Washington (3.27).
