Alex Gordon continued his excellence in left field during the 2016 season, committing just two errors in 230 total chances. His .991 fielding percentage ranked second among Major League left fielders.
His first error of 2016 was charged on May 13, and was his first since Aug. 2, 2014. It snapped a streak of 188 consecutive games (187 starts) without an error, which was the third-longest active streak by a non-pitcher, according to Elias.
Since becoming a full-time outfielder in 2011, his 72 outfield assists are eight more than any other player in the Majors.
