Alex Gordon had the game-tying, two-run double in Sunday’s 5–3 win over Minnesota, which clinched the Royals’ first three-game sweep of the season.
The double was Gordon’s 500th career extra-base hit, joining: George Brett (1,119), Hal McRae (681), Frank White (625) and Amos Otis (623) as Royals to reach that milestone.
Gordon is also the eighth active left-handed batter currently on a 25-man roster with 500 XBH, joining: Curtis Granderson (743), Chase Utley (727), Nick Markakis (654), Joey Votto (650), Joe Mauer (584), Carlos Gonzalez (546) and Shin-soo Choo (507).
