Alex Gordon recorded his fourth career multi-home run game on Aug. 20 vs. Minnesota — both off left hander Hector Santiago. It marked the first time he’s hit two in one game vs. a left hander.
In fact, Gordon, teammate Eric Hosmer (June 10 vs. Chris Sale) and Tampa Bay’s Kevin Kiermaier (Sept. 8 vs. CC Sabathia) were the only left-handed batters in 2016 to hit two homers off the same left-handed pitcher in the same game.
