The Royals rallied with runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings to down San Francisco 4–3 in Scottsdale on Sunday, improving to 7–3 this spring.
Trailing 3–2 after seven frames, Hunter Dozier hit a solo home run in the eighth and Zane Evans drove in the winning run on an RBI groundout in the ninth.
Kansas City won 10 games in 2016 when trailing after seven innings, tied for the second-most such wins in the American League, trailing only Texas (13). In the National League, only St. Louis (12) had more.
