Spring Training schedules are just sort of wild and honestly a breath of fresh air. So far, the Royals have played the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers, the Brewers, the Rockies, the Cubs, the Giants, and the Padres. You know who they have not played? Cleveland, or Minnesota, or Detroit.
To be fair, some of that is due to the split between Florida and California as far as location goes. But! It’s no less weird. In any case, it’s the Royals’ first game against the Guardians today. Kris Bubic takes the bump in pursuit of the final rotation slot.
