KANSAS CITY -- A source indicated that Royals manager Ned Yost, recovering from a serious pelvis fracture, will be able to attend Royals FanFest on Jan. 26-27. The club has not officially confirmed that Yost will attend.
Yost fell from a 20-foot tree stand on his property in Georgia in November and nearly died because of a potential bleed out, according to surgeons who operated on him.
Yost has been relegated to an easy chair for the past two months as his pelvis heals.
Jeffrey Flanagan has covered the Royals since 1991, and for MLB.
