So the other day I was looking at the Royals’ year-by-year results for blogging reasons*. Once I got to the 2004-2006 stretch of truly awful baseball, I began wondering. So many times during those years, and even in the years before, I said or thought, “Well, this must be rock bottom. There is no way this could get any worse.”
