On June 18, the Carolina League (High-A) will host its 2019 All-Star Classic at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, Maryland. Among the selections announced this week for the Northern Division’s All-Star squad were six Wilmington Blue Rocks, including a league-high five pitchers. The Blue Rocks chosen were RHP Jackson Kowar, LHP Daniel Lynch, C MJ Melendez, RHP Tad Ratliff, RHP Brady Singer and RHP Tyler Zuber. The game will take place 10 days after Wilmington clinched a playoff berth by securing the Carolina League’s Northern Division first-half title on June 8.
