KANSAS CITY -- The Royals went into Thursday night's sixth inning against the Twins without a hit and trailing, 2-1.
That changed rapidly.
First, Hunter Dozier broke up Minnesota's combined no-hit bid with a leadoff double to left.
Dozier breaks up no-no Catcher Salvador Perez followed by ripping a 2-1 fastball off Twins right-hander Alan Busenitz into the left-field seats, a two-run shot that put the Royals up, 3-2. It was Perez's 25th home run, and he became one of nine Royals all-time to record back-to-back seasons with 25 or more home runs.
