The Royals have tried a few times over the last two postseasons to top the craziness that was the 2014 Wild Card game. I think they may have finally done it. You can, of course, still make an argument that the Wild Card game is the most insane game the Royals have played, but if that’s your contention, then game one of the 2015 World Series is at least 1A on that list. By sheer innings alone, it was just ridiculous, equaling the longest World Series game to ever be played, tying a game in 2005 and another one in 1916 started by Babe Ruth.
