After defeating the Guardians this afternoon, the Royals have a chance to pull within one game of first place tonight. Alec Marsh has been called up to make the start as the 27th man, his first big league start since July 29. He gave up just one run in six innings in a win against the Guardians on June 28.

The Guardians called up Logan Allen between games to make the start in Game 2, with reliever Connor Gillispie sent down.
