The Royals will call up former first-round pick Nick Loftin when rosters expand on September 1, according to MLB.com reporter Anne Rogers. Loftin was hitting .270/.344/.444 with 14 home run and six steals in 82 games for Triple-A Omaha.
Loftin was selected as the 32nd overall pick of the 2020 draft out of Baylor, with Dayton Moore saying at the time they even considered him for the fourth overall pick.
