Royals slip against Sox, fall in Wild Card race

KANSAS CITY -- Jose Abreu had the seventh four-hit game of his career, Yoan Moncada had his first career three-hit game, and the White Sox belted out 17 hits on their way to an 11-3 rout of the Royals on Monday night at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals fell three games behind the idle Twins for the second American League Wild Card spot.

White Sox starter Reynaldo Lopez went six innings and gave up eight hits and three runs -- his fourth quality start in five outings this season. The 23-year-old right-hander walked none and struck out one.
