The Royals came to terms on contracts for Cheslor Cuthbert, Brian Flynn, and Jesse Hahn on Thursday, just before the Friday deadline to tender contracts arbitration-eligible players. The Royals will have no tender decisions to make, and no arbitration cases to deal with this off-season.
According to MLB.com reporter Jeffrey Flanagan, Flynn agreed to an $800,000 contract with a $50,000 bonus for making the All-Star team. The 28 -year old left-hander had a 4.04 ERA in 75 2/3 innings as a swingman. MLB Trade Rumors estimated him to make $1 million through the arbitration process.
