Royals Sign Brandon Moss

FEB. 1: The Royals announced that Moss has been signed to a two-year deal with a mutual option for the 2019 season.

JAN. 30: Moss will earn $3.75MM in 2017 and $7.25MM for the 2018 season, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports (via Twitter). The deal also contains an option of an unspecified nature (though Kansas City frequently utilitzes mutual options), which comes with a $1MM buyout.

JAN. 29, 3:46pm: Moss will make between $3MM and $4MM next season, per Dodd.

1:44pm: Moss’ deal is “significantly backloaded,” but his 2017 salary isn’t yet known, tweets Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star.
