Royals reportedly sign Gee to Minor League deal

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals have agreed to a Minor League deal with former Mets right-hander Dillon Gee, according to CBS Sports. The club has not yet confirmed the deal.

Gee, 29, was the Mets' Opening Day starter in 2014 and started last season in the rotation. In May, he was placed on the disabled list because of a groin strain. He was designated for assignment in June and eventually sent to Triple-A.
