Royals reinstate outfielder Brett Eibner from the disabled list

Outfielder Brett Eibner returned to the Royals on Thursday.

The Royals reinstated Eibner from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Reymond Fuentes to Class AAA Omaha.

The Royals play host to the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night, and Eibner is starting in left field and batting ninth.

Eibner made his major-league debut on May 27, and in four games with the Royals batted .462 (6 for 13) with three doubles and two RBIs. He was injured on May 31, while fielding a ball against the Tampa Bay Rays.
