The Royals on Friday recalled left-hander Brian Flynn from Class AAA Omaha to fill the roster spot left vacant when outfielder Terrance Gore was sent to Class AA Northwest Arkansas.
Flynn, who attended Wichita State, was 2-1 with a 3.94 ERA for the Storm Chasers this season. In six games (one start), Flynn allowed 15 hits in 16 innings with 14 strikeouts and nine walks.
The Royals acquired Flynn along with minor-leaguer Reid Redman from the Miami Marlins in exchange for Aaron Crow in a Nov. 28, 2014 trade.
