The Royals overcame a four-run deficit and took the lead in the ninth for their first comeback win of the year in a 6-5 victory over the Giants on Saturday. It was their second win in a row, giving them their first winning streak of the season, improving their record to 3-6.
Brady Singer cruised through the first three innings, but poor location in the fourth led to a four-run inning. LaMonte Wade Jr. turned on an inside slider and put it into McCovey’s Cove to make it 1-0 Giants. After hits to Michael Conforto and J.D. Davis put runners at second and third, Joc Pederson made it 2-0 with a sacrifice fly.
