Royals prospect Bubba Starling suffered a hamstring strain on Sunday and left his game with Class AA Northwest Arkansas.
Starling is “likely” to be placed on the disabled list, assistant general manager J.J. Picollo said. The team has not yet determined the severity of the injury.
Starling, the No. 5 overall pick in 2011, had hit three home runs with an .846 OPS in 15 games with the Naturals.
