The surgery involved Young’s “abdominal area to his pelvis and right groin.” Recovery time is approximately eight weeks and the team expects Young to be ready for spring training in February.
Young joined the Royals in 2015 on a one-year contract and started 18 games for the World Series champions, posting an 11-6 record with a 3.
